 Subject: Names of taro

Many New Zealanders have travelled or plan to travel or might travel to far flung corners of the planet. If you can recall or discover any local names for taro in the places you have visited or are visiting, I would be grateful if they can be sent to me or posted on this notice board. Many names have been published by various authors, over the last several centuries, but no one has ever made a comprehensive collection. The results of an international survey would be very interesting for historical understanding of the crop.
If you are not sure how to identify taro, look at the pictures on tyhis website, and on websites in the Link pages.
Thank you.
